Apprenticeship Program
IEC-KC is firmly committed
to providing the workforce of tomorrow with a quality education.
Our apprenticeship training incorporates workplace training with technical in-school
training. Since 1972, IEC has conducted apprenticeship training programs
following standards approved by the U.S. Department of Labor.
What make IEC's
Apprenticeship Training Program so successful?
IEC's Apprenticeship Training Program has
achieved a great deal of success because of the following reasons:
-
It uses a nationally standardized
training curriculum developed by electrical contractors with the
assistance and support of professional educators.
-
IEC's four-year
electrical apprenticeship
program is recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of
Apprenticeship & Training.
-
IEC's programs include 144 hours of
classroom training per year with lectures, demonstrations, labs and
homework, comprehensive exams, and 2,000 hours of on-the-job
training per year that is administered by numerous local IEC offices
nationwide.
-
IEC's programs are widely used. IEC's
electrical apprenticeship program is currently being used to train
more than 10,000 electrical apprentices in 33 states.
-
Instructor training and certification
programs are available to ensure that apprentices have the best
possible training.
With a growth rate in excess of 20% per
year, IEC's Apprenticeship programs are rapidly becoming recognized as
the premier electrical apprenticeship programs in the industry.
